Alumni Program

The Alumni Program is supported by the IBRO Alumni Committee and was created to facilitate interactions between students as well as students and faculty who have participated in IBRO's educational programs, developing a community of young scientists so that they remain in contact with IBRO and with each other. Activities include guidance and mentoring workshops, career enhancement events and opportunities to present current research through organized symposia and social gatherings.

A major goal is to raise the profile of the IBRO educational programs by highlighting the achievements of its alumni in regional and international arenas. Featured lectures and symposia talks delivered by IBRO alumni, especially on topics of current public interest, are sponsored by the Alumni Committee.

Two IBRO alumni symposia took place in 2016:

1) 2nd FALAN Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 17-20 October

2) SfN Neuroscience 2016 in San Diego, USA, from 12-16 November*

*Recent IBRO alumni are usually invited to an annual Social where they have the opportunity to meet and make friends with their peers. This event, normally held at the time of the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting, continues to enjoy great success.

IBRO alumni are also encouraged to stay in touch through IBRO social media outlets. If you haven't already, please join our community here:
