IBRO-APRC calls for programs promoting women neuroscientists

The IBRO Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (IBRO-APRC) has decided to make a strong commitment to increasing the presence of women neuroscientists in general scientific meetings of individual member societies.

As a result, individual APRC member societies are now invited to submit concrete proposals. Promotional activities should be defined by each society. The successful society will be required to send a program, a report on the proceedings and the numbers and proportions of female plenary lecturers, symposium speakers, session chairs and participants in the meeting after the event has ended.

Each society, if its proposal is selected, will receive 500~1,000 USD (depending on the number of successful proposals).

The budget this round covers meetings held from May 1, 2016 to the end of April 2017.

The proposal should include information about the meeting and a description of how the assigned budget will be used.

Please send your proposals to IBRO-APRC Chair, Keiji Tanaka, at by July 31, 2016.
