January 14 - 19, 2017
Aims and Objectives
The 4th Scientific Writing Workshop will be held in Khartoum, Sudan, January 14-19, 2017 at Al-Neelain University. These workshops are aimed at helping young African investigators acquire skills and develop strategic means to communicate with the broad neuroscience community and, in particular, to publish scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. An international team of scientists will assist the students to compile their manuscripts and will discuss scientific publishing policies, statistical evaluation of data, ethical requirements, organization of a scientific manuscript (text, figures, tables). Travel (flight tickets), lodging and meals during the workshop will be provided to the selected participants.
The workshop is designed for young investigators from African laboratories/clinics who wish to promote their research work within the international neuroscience community. Preference will be given to young African investigators in the biomedical sciences, with reference to the nervous system, who have gathered sufficient data to write in article form, or with manuscripts prepared for publication to be “edited” during the workshop. The topics should be related to basic, experimental neuroscience, or clinical neuroscience on nervous systems diseases, infections of the nervous system, conditions affecting the nervous system, addiction, etc.
