Aims and Scope of the School:
The workshop is organized in four modules which are aimed at providing a focused introduction to the problems and concepts in various aspects of neuroscience. These modules are: Vision, Attention – Multiple Scales, Motor Systems and, Memory and Spatial Navigation. Each day of the modules will consist of 4 lectures (1.5 hours each) and an open discussion and interaction session. In addition, there will be four lab sessions (3 hours each).
The proposed workshop will accommodate approximately 50 students (40 outstation, 10 local), from science and engineering colleges throughout India, with admission based upon merit and need. The workshop faculty will consist of neuroscientists from all over the world. All the invited faculty are highly distinguished researchers with expertise in nearly every aspect of neuroscience. Apart from these, the current proposed module also introduces open poster sessions where the participants get to present their research work and discuss with the experts in the field.
