Aims and Scope of the School:
Learn about the principles of Neurophysiology and how it is important to decipher basic physiological mechanisms in the central nervous system and also to understand the pathophysiology of brain diseases such as Movement disorders (Parkinson's disease and related disorders, dystonia, etc.).
During this school, experts of international renown in basic, preclinical and clinical neurophysiology will provide high-level lectures and hands-on training on the principles of electrophysiology from isolated cells to complex networks in animals and humans. An interest will also be given to the use of clinical neurophysiology to determine the diagnosis of certain central and peripheral pathologies.
Who should apply to this School?
Ph.D. students, Post-docs, Young neurologists and neurophysiologists from all over Africa, including sub-Saharan nations.
