Aims and Scope of the School:
This School aims to give a high-level and certifying training on the anatomo-functional organization of the basal ganglia in the physiological and pathological aspects.
This training will include two days of basic neuroscience training to introduce or recall prerequisites. Six days will be devoted to the physiology and pathophysiology of the basal ganglia focusing on Parkinson's disease but also other neurodegenerative diseases and motor disorders. A full session will discuss current therapies as well as future projections. The school will end with 4 days of technical workshops. The selected students will have to present their work in oral and poster session and will propose research projects in the field of the school.
Who should apply to this School?
Ph.D. students and Ph.D. in neuroscience, neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, neurosurgeons currently residing in Africa are eligible to apply for this school.
